Blogmas Day 10: Anticipated Book Releases 2022

Welcome to Day 10 of Blogmas!
This month is flying by!
Today I’m sharing my most anticipated releases for 2022.
(Click on the title of each book for the Goodreads page)

Contemporary/Romance:

Talia Hibbert Books:
Highly Suspicious, Unfairly Cute & Untitled (Skybriar #1) – No dates but says expected 2022
I don’t know too much about these and Goodreads has failed me. Talia Hibbert writes the most addictive romances ever. I know one of these is her YA debut (I think) and I know she’s writing and Pride and Prejudice retelling, so I assume that’s one of these too. Either way, I’m excited for more from this author!

Confessions of an Alleged Good Girl by Joya Goffney
May 3rd

Having really loved her previous novel, Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry, I am super excited to read this. I’m lucky enough to have a NetGalley ARC! There’s no cover yet, I can’t wait for the reveal!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
May 3rd

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Loved Beach Read, need to read more of this author! This sounds SO GOOD. Plus what book lover doesn’t want to read a romance about book lovers?! I’m sold.

Fantasy:

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh
February 22nd

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

I read and enjoyed XOXO, this one just sounds so good! AND THAT COVER! Gorgeous. Also super lucky enough to have a NetGalley ARC. Cannot wait to pick this up soon.

Gallant by V.E. Schwab
March 1st

Of course, I’m excited about the new V.E. Schwab novel! This is described as The Secret Garden x Crimson Peak – which just sounds incredible!

Untitled (The Dreamer Trilogy #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
Autumn 2022
No title, no release date as of yet. I think she said it would come out next autumn. Fingers crossed! Cannot wait to read the conclusion to this amazing trilogy. Even though I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to this world and its characters. *Single tear*

Cursed by Marissa Meyer
November 8th
I loved Gilded, it was so dark and atmospheric! I went in thinking it was a standalone then it ended on a cliffhanger. I need this sequel like now. Waiting a year might actually kill me!

A Duel with the Vampire Lord by Elise Kova
August 18th

The third book in the Married to Magic series, I’m loving these books! I’m not usually a fan of vampires (unpopular opinion) but I’m interested to see Elise Kova’s take.

Anticipated Releases Autumn 2021

Hello everyone!
Today I’m talking about the books I’m excited for this Autumn. There are so many books coming out, it’s actually overwhelming!

Here’s my top 4:

Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson

This is my most anticipated read of Autumn, if not 2021. I love this series!! Starsight’s cliffhanger was BRUTAL. I have been eagerly awaiting this book ever since. I cannot wait to see where the story goes. I already know this will be amazing. Sanderson Never disappoints.

Out November 25th

*Gilded by Marissa Meyer

Gilded by Marissa Meyer | Waterstones

I will read anything Marissa Meyer puts out after absolutely loving The Lunar Chronicles. I love retellings and I’m super interest in this since I’ve never read a Rumpelstiltskin retelling (nor do I know much about the tale tbh). I’m super lucky to have received an ARC of this, I cannot wait to pick it up soon!

Out November 2nd

Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson

Vespertine | Book by Margaret Rogerson | Official Publisher Page | Simon & Schuster UK

After loving Sorcery of Thorns earlier this year, I am interested to see whether I enjoy this one. Having not enjoyed An Enchantment of Ravens, this could go either way… I’m hoping to love it but we’ll see! Stay tuned for that review!

Out October 5th

Empress & Aniya by Candice Carty-Williams

Pre-order: Empress & Aniya by Candice Carty-Williams – The Book Nook

I enjoyed Queenie by this author and I’m excited to read her YA debut! The synopsis gives me Freaky Friday vibes and I am SO down for that!!

Out October 7th

Are you excited for any of these? Let me know what books you’re excited for so I can put them on my radar!

2021 Sequels, Prequels & Companion Books I’m Excited For

Hello everyone!
Today I’m going to share some 2021 releases that are sequels, prequels and companions that I’m excited to read. I have no idea how many I’ll actually get to this year (final year uni problems) but when I can I’ll be happily diving into these!

The Way of the Argosi by Sebastien de Castell

50174334. sy475

I’m not usually super excited for prequels, but Ferius Parfax is such an amazing character, I cannot wait to explore her backstory! If you haven’t read the Spellslinger Series yet, do it! It’s one of the best YA fantasy series. It’s so fun and humorous, you’ll have a blast!

Winterkeep by Kristin Cashore

I have wanted a sequel in this world since I first read the Graceling books years ago. I’m excited to be back in this world with a new story! Graceling was one of the first series I read because of the online book community, I’m so happy to get a sequel!

Beneath the Keep by Erika Johansen

53321692. sy475
This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is nicepng_goodreads-png_2331558-1.png

Another series I read forever ago. I loved The Queen of the Tearling trilogy, even if it did end… oddly. This is a prequel about one of the side characters, I’m curious to learn more about him and dive back into this world. I may have to reread the original books at some point too.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

54241351. sy475
This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is nicepng_goodreads-png_2331558-1.png

I love The Brown Sisters, I cannot wait to read this! I’m super sad this is the last book but I have loved every moment of the previous two, I’m sure this will also be a favourite. If you looking for swoon-worthy romances, definitely read this series. It’s incredible!

A Dance with the Fae Rogue by Elise Kova

55688537. sy475
This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is nicepng_goodreads-png_2331558-1.png

After reading (and loving) A Deal with the Elf King I am dying for this companion/sequel! I love a good fantasy romance and fae are my favourite! This sounds like it’ll be amazing, sadly it’s not out until the end of the year 😦

Are any of these on your TBR? What sequels/prequels/companion books are you excited for?

The cover alone is enough to interest me; the artwork is beautiful! The premise has me even more interested: ‘North African-inspired fantasy world where two sisters must fight to the death to win the crown’. – this sounds incredible.
