Hey guys, hope you’re having a great Saturday!
I *still* don’t have wifi at my uni flat. I just got back yesterday and they still haven’t sorted it. Such a nightmare. Don’t they know my life revolves around the internet?!
Anywho…
I thought I’d share some LGBT recs today

Up first:
Simon vs the Homo Sapien Agenda by Becky Albertalli

(Gay, m/m)

I LOVE THIS! It’s such an adorable story.
I read this in a few hours in one sitting – it’s addictive and adorable but has some serious themes about coming out and being blackmailed. Everyone talks about this book but seriously, it’s worth the hype.

Girl Meets Boy by Ali Smith
(queer)

This is a queer retelling of Ovid’s myth of Iphis – this was a required read in uni for me and I was pleasantly surprised. It really shows how fluid gender and sexuality is. I never hear anyone talk about it but it definitely needs more hype. The title doesn’t really show that it’s LGBT but it is a nice surprise in the story.

Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson
(Not sure on sexualities but features a f/f relationship)

This is such an adorable graphic novel series. It has an all girl cast and features a f/f relationship – which is SO CUTE. So nice to see LGBT aimed at a young audience.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
(Bisexual MC, Gay/Lesbian side characters)

This isn’t a favourite book of mine, not even close, but I think the representation was great. I loved seeing LGBT characters in this era, it was interesting to read about and different from the other LGBT stories I’ve read.

WWW-Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Sorry, for the lack of posts/replies to comments.
I moved to uni on Sunday and my place still doesn’t have Wifi 😦 It’s been such a pain.
I’ve currently gone back home just to use wifi, luckily, my mum’s isn’t super far from my uni flat.

WWW Wednesday is hosted on Taking on a World of Words. It’s a super simple meme, you just answered the three W questions.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

I am still reading Nevernight from last week.

Recently Finished:
Nothing 😦
I’ve been super busy packing for uni and moving into my new place that I haven’t been reading at all. My insomnia has been really bad lately, too. I can’t read as much when my insomnia is playing up as my concentration isn’t good.
Reading Next:
I’ll probably read Godsgrave then Darkdawn next. I am actually getting into Nevernight and enjoying it now, it took me a while but I’m getting there! I’m sure after I’m done I’ll want to pick up the next two and binge the series.
