Reading Wrap Up | June 2019

wrap-up-2019
Hey Guys,
Happy July 1st!
I cannot believe we’re already in July, time flies!
I managed a total of 6 books this month – 4 physical + 2 audiobooks! Which I am super happy with because I spent literally two weeks in a slump and I didn’t think I’d get much reading done this month but hey, I turned it around!

The first book I finished in June was: The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary.
This was AMAZING! Loved it.

Then I went ages without reading, I was kinda in a slump. The next few books I read on holiday:

My second read of June/My first holiday read was Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. This was a reread for me and it was just as good the second time around!
Being spacey/sci-fi, it isn’t your typical beachy read but I loved reading it.

My third June read/ second holiday read was *No Big Deal by Bethany Rutter. (gifted)
This was such a quick and easy read! I devoured it in two sitting on holiday. I’ll talk about it more in my upcoming review.

My audiobook for this month was Nyxia by Scott Reintgen –  this I listen to on the plane to Portugal and on the way back. I finished it the day after I got back from holiday so it’s kinda a holiday read, kinda not.  As you can tell I’m in a sci-fi mood lately. No idea why but I’m loving it.
This was pretty good and entertaining!

Then I finished: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. Which I LOVED, of course. Brandon Sanderson is my fave but I’ve never read any Sci-Fi or YA from him before; it’s safe to say the man can write anything.

Lastly, I finished an audiobook: The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I literally started and finished this on June 30th. It was a cutesy/cheesy YA contemporary – perfect summer read! It was a little cringy in places and there was A LOT of teen drama, so bear that in mind.

Rating: 3 Stars
