Favourite Audiobooks 2018!

audiobooks

Hey guys!
It’s time for all the ‘2018’ themed posts to start rolling in…
Thought I’d start mine with the favourite audiobooks I listened to this year. I didn’t listen to as many as I hoped but I did listen to some amazing ones!

(These are in no particular order)

1) Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman/

This was SO good. Cannot even put into words how much I enjoyed this. Neil Gaiman perfectly narrates his own novel, his voice is so relaxing. The stories are so entertaining. I have a new found love for Norse Myth.
I don’t have a review up for this (yet) but hopefully, I’ll write one soon.

2) Spellslinger by Sebastien De Castell

This I picked up from my library randomly. I hadn’t heard of it before, knew nothing about it. Thought the premise sounded interesting and it had a cool cover.
Little did I know it’d become one of my favourite books of all time (and one of my favourite series).
I loved the story but the characters really take the cake. I LOVE THEM.
The humour is amazing. I adore Kellen, Ferius and Reichis. Just amazing.
The narrator is seriously good at voices, an absolute joy to listen to.

3) The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

This book was getting loads of hyped and attention, it wasn’t my usual genre but since it was available right away at my library I thought why not.
It’s a really complicated book, especially for audio, it requires a lot of attention but it is so worth it. Another one that became one of my favourites. Seriously amazing.

4) Hold Back the Stars by Katie Khan

Rating: 5/5 Stars

This book exceeded my expectations like no other. It is a sci-fi romance, which is kinda something I half love, half hate. I love sci-fi but romance? Meh.
Boy, was I wrong.  This was an emotional rollercoaster. I was so invested in this romance and the characters. It made me laugh. It made me cry.
The writing is just beautiful. The ENDING. Wow.
Now one of my favourite books of all time.
